Meetings
Dates: The 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month, September through June. No regular dinner meetings in July & August.

Fund Raising
The primary fundraiser for the New Freedom Lions Club over the past 74 years has been the annual New Freedom Lions 4th of July Carnival. Today, the net profits are in the $45,000 to $50,000 range.
Projects Supported:
Diabetes Awareness, Leader Dog Program, York Blind Center, Lions Beacon Lodge Camp, District Governor’s Project, New Freedom Fire Company, New Freedom Ambulance Service, SYC Library, New Freedom Community Center, YMCA Building Fund, SYC Community Services, SYC Fuel Fund, SYC Food Pantry, New Freedom Senior Center, New Freedom Gardeners, New Freedom Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, H. O. P. E., 4th of July Holiday Parade, New Freedom Heritage Association, Girls Scouts, Boy Scouts, Appalachian Service project, Six $1000 Scholarships to Susquehannoch High School Seniors, Eye Glasses/Eye Exams to the needy, Lions Recycle for Sight Program, Other Local Charities .

Club Membership
Currently (March 2008) 44 members: 36 Active, 4 Affiliate, 4 Member-at-Large
Membership Categories Defined
Active: A member entitled to all rights and privileges and subject to all obligations which membership in a Lions Club confers or implies
Member-at-Large: A member of the club who has moved from the community and desires to retain membership in the club
Associate: A member who holds his primary membership in another Lions club, but has a residence or is employed in the conferring club’s community
Affiliate: A member who is not able to fully participate as an active member of the club, but desires to support the club and its community services
Dues
Active members: $150.00 annually, payable in $50.00 increments on the 1st of September, January & April.
This includes International & District dues, cost of meals, fees for special or social events and the annual Zone 14-C Social.
All other members: $25.00 annually. This includes International & District dues. When able to attend a dinner meeting or social event, the member is required to pay the per-person charge. (Currently $7.00 for regular dinner meetings.) The New Freedom Lioness Club caters regular dinner meetings.
