Lion Bill Donahue has announced the date for our annual Blood Drive this year is January 05, 2012. This year he will be assisted by soon to be installed as a Lion Nurse Joan Sullivan. The blood drive will be held in the New Freedom Community Building. Once again Lion Bill’s goal is 100 pints! Roll up your sleeve and help him make it this year! ********************************************************************************************************************* Lions Annual Yard Sale This year’s annual Spring Yard Sale will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Carnival grounds from 8:00 AM. To 3:00 PM. Lion Mike Jackson will chair the Lions Spring Yard Sale and will be looking for help! Some of last years vendors have already inquired! Youth indoor Tennis Classes will begin in February in the gym. February 05- Juggling Class, cost is $20.00 per person. February 11: Baltimore Screen Painting Class will be held February 11 from 9:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. The $70.00 per person fee includes lunch and all supplies for a finished painting. Walk to the most haunted places in Gettysburg or take a haunted bus tour of the battlefield and other ghostly places. May 18- Tour the Eisenhower farm in the morning enjoy afternoon seminars by Veteran US/Canada Forum speakers; in the evening enjoy deserts in the hospitality room! May 19- Seminars in the morning, The All State Band concert and special guest La Donna Gatlin in the afternoon and later the International Banquet featuring International President Dr. Wing-Kun Tam. May 20- Voting, the final session with time left to tour the battlefield. ******************************************************************************************************************** New Freedom Heritage Meetings are held at the Heritage Museum the 2nd Thursday of each month. The next meeting will be held January 10, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. Every one is welcome to attend. On the agenda: Stream Rehabilitation. The stream rehabilitation project is scheduled for April 14, 2012 at Freedom Green. New Freedom Heritage Museums Grand Opening will be held Saturday, February 04, 2012. Volunteers to serve as museum docent’s are needed. If you are interested, please contact New Freedom Heritage. There will be a rotating schedule. The museum will be open one Saturday each month from 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. New Freedom Heritage will hold its 8th anniversary celebration at the Museum on February 16 at 7:00 P.M.
